Idea

Two ideas at once. First - people are tired of the classic job search, so we wanted to let them swipe through vacancies and set up interviews with companies right away. Second - since we already had a good algorithm, why not connect it to every job listing in Latvia and find people the jobs that actually fit them?

What we did

We built a platform that lets companies and candidates find each other and set up a first interview in a couple of clicks. We built an algorithm that uses database vectors to find the best match, and made sure publicly available job listings can be found in just a few clicks.

Key takeaways

Platforms are hard - getting both companies and candidates on board at the same time is like walking a tightrope. When we introduced an AI chat, the data showed that half of users were scared of it like it was on fire and didn't want to use it. People are creatures of habit - don't try to "fix" what's already working well enough.
